The Punjab government has officially launched the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar program. In this program, completely free plots of three marla will be distributed. The Punjab government has started registration in 19 districts within the province of Punjab, which are the districts, the complete list has been listed for you. First of all, let us tell you that if you do not belong to one of these districts, then you cannot apply, which means you will not be eligible for this scheme.

The Punjab government is going to give you the plot you have. Talking about the number of plots, there is a specific quota for each district within it, according to which you will be given the plots you have.

Eligibility Criteria for the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Program 

The eligibility criteria have also been kept within this Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Program. There are six conditions that have been declared mandatory. If you meet these six conditions, then you can apply for the Punjab government’s own land in your own house.

  • According to the identity card, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Punjab
  • The applicant can apply only from the districts that have been included by the government.
  • The applicant, his spouse or dependent children should not have any plot or house in their name anywhere in Pakistan.
  • The applicant should not have a criminal record, meaning there should be no FIR, there should be no papers against him.
  • The applicant should not be a borrower of any bank or financial institution. It is important that you have not taken a loan from any financial institution, bank or any government scheme etc.
  • The applicant should provide the correct information. In case of false statements, it will lead to disqualification. The things you have to provide should be completely correct and should be registered in NADRA.

Required Documents for the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar 

  • Copy of CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)
  • Family Registration Certificate (FRC) from NADRA
  • Recent Passport Size Photographs (2–4)
  • Proof of Monthly Income (Salary slip or employer letter, if available)
  • Affidavit (stamp paper stating you don’t own any house/land)
  • Electricity or Gas Bill copy (to confirm residence)
  • Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
  • Rent Agreement (if living on rent)
  • Disability Certificate (if applying under special quota)
  • Widowhood Certificate (if applying as widow)

How to Apply for Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Scheme 

  • Go to official website:

  • Click on “Apply Online” button on homepage
  • Create your account
  • Enter your CNIC, mobile number, and email
  • Set a password
  • Login to your account
  • Fill the application form carefully
  • Enter your personal, family, and income details
  • Upload required documents (CNIC, photos, income proof, etc.)
  • Review your application and click on Submit
  • You will get a confirmation message or email
  • Wait for verification and final list announcement

Conditions After Allotment of Plot

  • Once you get the plot, you will have to start the construction of the house within 6 months from the date of ownership. The construction should be completed within two years from the date of possession.
  • The alloted plot cannot be transferred or leased to any person for a period of at least five years from the date of allotment. During this period, the allotment will be automatically attributed as a result of any change of ownership.
  • In case of failure to meet the construction timelines, the allotment should be attributed after giving one month’s written notice.
  • In case of non-compliance or incorrect information, re-occupation will be done free of cost.
  • The allotted plot should be used for residential purposes only. Commercial activities or unauthorized constructions are strictly prohibited.
  • In case of any dispute, the matter will be referred to the GRC, a designated grievance redressal committee of FATA, to resolve the matter.
  • The PHATA team reserves the right to inspect the construction at any stage to ensure compliance.
